ST. MARY’S OUTREACH MOVING TO HAMPDEN FAMILY CENTER
Senior support services will remain available in neighborhood
BALTIMORE— St. Mary’s Outreach Center (SMOC) offices will move to the Hampden Family Center (1104 W. 36th Street, Baltimore, 21211) beginning February 10. SMOC provides free services that help older adults in Baltimore City meet the challenge of living self-sufficiently with dignity and respect. Their services will complement the Hampden Family Center’s programs and resources, which have been a stabilizing force in the community for 25 years.
“We’re excited to move our personalized services for older adults and their care partners to a location that is easily accessible and offers other resources for our clients,” says St. Mary’s Executive Director Tasha Cornish.
“It is important to Hampden residents and our clients that there be centralized resources in the neighborhood to support them throughout all stages of life,” says Lisa Ghinger, Executive Director of the Hampden Family Center. “SMOC has a strong history of partnering with the Center. This is the perfect opportunity to diversify the services that are offered at the Center.”
In preparation for the move, SMOC will operate on a limited schedule from February 3-7. Following their move, SMOC will continue to hold programs and office hours at community sites, including St. Mary’s Roland View Towers. SMOC services include benefit assistance, and social and recreational programs, all of which are designed to help seniors live independent lives in their homes and community.
