8-week class to increase your awareness and reduce your risk of falling

Have you experienced a slip, trip or fall that has shaken your confidence or left you with the fear of falling, or worse yet, resulted in injury? You understand that a threat of a fall is often a “game changer” for your independence — a barrier to doing the activities you enjoy. This falls prevention course, a Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging Curriculum, provides opportunities to increase your awareness and reduce your risk for falling. Community experts, physical therapists, vision experts, public safety officers and pharmacists along with your Coach facilitators share tips for what you can do to stay steady on your feet! Increase your strength and balance so you can continue to live well at home. This is an eight-week series. Certificate upon completion. Light lunch with this series.
