Hats Off to Hampden 2016
THIS EVENT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE without the efforts of many. There are far too many people to list but a special thank you goes out to the party planning committee their enthusiasm has been contagious and they have done a dynamite job securing sponsorships, collecting auction items and making tonight a huge success. Many thanks to Detour Dave for spinning tunes and Mary Beth Marsden for serving as the MC. A special thank you to Neil and Robin MacDonald for rallying the troops and quietly working behind the scenes.
THANKS TO LOCALS Deb Falkenhan for her endless trips along “The Avenue” gathering all sorts of items for the auction and keeping us all focused. To the l merchants for their generosity and support – they are always there; Libby Francis and The Modest Florist for tonight’s beautiful floral arrangements, Paula Bogert for her unique and fun graphic design work; former local Mare Distler for designing our signage and program all the way from Montana; Carol Greene and the crew from First Floor Graphics for printing the signage Denise Whiting and Café Hon for providing the delicious desserts, and always to Alice Ann Finnerty.
The event would not have been possible if not for David Wells of The Wine Source for his ongoing and continued support of our events and Chad Gauss and the crew of The Food Market—these folks support the Family Center in all they do throughout the year and we are truly grateful.
SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR MANY SPONSORS for their generosity. It is through their generous support that we are able to host such a great event.

A Taste of Hampden 2013
A Taste of Hampden was a tremendous success and a great party. This year the Family Center was able to raise $15,000! There were more than250 people in attendance and the place was overflowing with supporters. Guests mingled with friends and enjoyed sampling a variety of cuisines from 23 participating restaurants. From steamed mussels to lasagna, green chile stew to tenderloin sliders, calamari to baked potato soup, pad thai to tortellini and even bacon and pancake cake for dessert. No one left hungry and everyone remarked the food was delicious and plentiful! The Wine Source generously donated the wine, beer and assorted beverages and this year and Union Craft Brewing donated one of their specialty beers.
Guest participated in a raffle for the “Mystery Boxes.” Some lucky winners departed for the night with raffle prizes in tow thanks to the generosity of local businesses that donated items for our “Mystery Boxes” (see below for details).
